| Hi Everyone! We just wanted to let you all know we are ready to release the newest single for airplay! A digital download will be the only available delivery method for obtaining this single sale item. We apologize to anyone that might feel a need for a mailed in CD however the cost involved in doing this for a single play product is prohibitive. It's a song that I am sure many of your listeners will relate to as it reflects the current state of country music today. It's called " They Don’t Make Country Like They Use To " It's an upbeat swing kind of tune, and it's as traditional as country gets as are most of my songs. In an effort to give the Dj's that report, and support my music a leg up, I am going to offer this on the Eboards as a free download to any and all DJ's that want to play it. If you want to forward it to other DJ's for consideration feel free to do so. I sure would appreciate the help in distributing it. The DJ's will have the song for one week prior to the release date, and for your listeners that like it you can build a little good will by letting them know that one week from the date you got it, we are going to announce that it will be available for FREE download at various sites! We will post the available sites on my web site, www.billydarnell.com/ and in all press releases to the public. Please refrain from sharing the file with your listeners as we would like to track the number of downloads of the song. That information will be critical to our decision making process for future marketing campaigns, and projects. We believe that this single is the start of one of the best CD's we have ever produced, and we are going to release several tunes this way to let people know just how good that CD is going to be. To those who have been playing my music and supporting it, once again thank you so much. Without you guys getting this music out to the public, it sure would be a different world for Singer/Songwriters like me. |
| Billy Darnell Music announced today that the long awaited, and anticipated offering of Billy's new Cd, " Getting Back To Country" , it will be available 08/16/2008 at 12 Am midnight. We are asking all ther dj's to announce the release, and anyone that has an rss feed, or a bulletin board to help us get the news out to Billy's fans, and real country music lovers a like. "It's been a long time in the making." said CEO Debbie Deitz, but we think everyone will agree it was worth the wait. The last CD Billy put out had great tunes, and was well concieved. It's hard to believe that he could top the quality of songs on that CD but we believe he has achieved that goal. Infact one of the hold ups for this Cd was we felt the songs were so good, that it was equally important to make sure the sound was of the same quality, so we obtained the software and took the time to make that happen. This will be the best CD from every aspect, Billy has ever offered to his fans. From the quality of the songs and lyrics, to the absolutely crystal clear sound, it's better from A to Z. We are secure in the belief that this will be one of the best quality CD's offered by an independent artist this year. "The Cd is currently only available through the Official web site at www.billydarnell.com/albums , how ever it will be available shortly at cdbaby.com , and all the other standard virtual delivery points such as itunes and the rest." stated Miss Deitz. One of the selling points of this CD is it actually has two great Country Classics on it which is a real oddity for Billy's CD's. The two covers he did were "Walk On By" by Leroy Vandyke, and " Devil Woman". We felt that by offering these two songs on the CD it would give potential buyers, and new fans something they could recognize on the CD, well at the same time doing something to support the great traditional country music that Billy loves so much. He really hates doing covers at this point in his career, but we really believe this will help to drives sales, and thats the bottom line. " The only way he was going to do it, was if he got to pick the songs." Debbie said laughingly, " So if your unhappy with the choices see Billy." Debbie went on to say " The name of the CD says it all. If your traditonal country fan and your tired of hearing the same old 20 songs of bubble Gum country they play everday on the radio, this is the Cd for you, he really did get back to country." The CD along with sound samples for each song are on the website...check it out....it's some pretty good stuff. Billy Darnell Music |
